Sort out donated food for people in need in March
What?
Join the team of volunteers of the Bulgarian Food Bank who put in a few hours' work every Wednesday and Friday/Saturday from 10:30 am to 2:30 pm to help collect and sort out donated fruit, vegetables and packaged foods to support individuals and families in need.
Pick your available date(s) from the March schedule and confirm your presence with the organizer in advance, as the warehouse can accommodate a maximum of 12 volunteers at a time. The contact info is behind the "I will do it" button.

Organizer?
The Bulgarian Food Bank.
Why?
Every second Bulgarian lives at or below the poverty line. At the same time thousands of kilograms of food get wasted. Help prevent food waste and make it possible to feed a larger number of hungry people.
Where?
At the Bulgarian Food Bank warehouse in Sofia, Slatina-Bulgarplod Wholesale Market, 13 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd, map.
Skills needed?
Deft hands and team play.
All volunteers must be in good health and should not have been in contact with anybody with a contagious disease in the past month (you sign a declaration on the premises, no medical documents required).
Equipment needed?
- Comfy and warm clothes. The average temperature at the warehouse is 10°C.
- Flat shoes suitable for outdoor work.
- Provided on the premises are gloves, aprons and work vests.
Food?
The Bulgaran Food Bank will be happy to offer hot drinks and biscuits for a job well done.
Health risks?
The mission is not suitable for pregnant women and for elderly people who easily get tired by physical effort.
Age requirements?
Volunteers between 10 and 16 years of age must always come with an adult companion. Volunteers between 16 and 18 years of age must present a signed declaration of informed consent by a parent/guardian. Volunteers aged 65+ have been among the most dear and invaluable helpers!
If the weather is bad?
Not a problem. Work is done indoors.

Доброволческите задачи в Българска хранителна банка са гъвкави. Всеки може да се включи според свободното си време в посочения интервал между 10:30 ч. и 14:30 ч. в дните сряда / петък / събота. Посочените дати в публикувания график са определени като подходящи за включване на доброволци. Моля да избирате дата за участие в доброволчески задачи сред посочените в календара.

Здравейте! Фирмата, в която работя има ден на доброволеца (тази година на 22Апр16). Тъй като е възможно колеги да проявят интерес към мисията се чудех дали инициативата ще продължи и през април и дали датите ще се запазят?
