When in 2019 the team of the Vdahnovi Bulgaria Association (Inspire Bulgaria) decided to support family-type accommodation centers, in their conversations one basic need started to emerge: that of hygiene materials for personal and cosmetic care.
At first glance, this item in a home's budget is not serious, but it is also not a priority, which is why there is often a shortage of some basic products - such as shampoos, deodorants, razors and others. On the other hand, a lot of the kids out there are teens, and you know - that's when a person builds self-confidence, so having access to those kinds of tools is important not only for their health, but also for their personal confidence.
Here is your role in this story: with its Misia Destka Usmivka (Mission Child Smile), the association aims to visit centres in different regions of the country, where it brings packages of long-awaited donations every month. Help them achieve their goal and tick products off their list.
What kind of hygiene supplies are they looking for?
Every month the team of the association contacts a different accommodation centre, some of the ones it works with are in Roman, Veliko Tarnovo, Stara Zagora, Bardarski Geran, Vidin, Montana, Pernik, Dragoman, Samokov and Dolna Banya.
The products to be collected are agreed in advance with their directors and the list looks like this:
- soap, shampoo, shower gel;
- toothpaste and toothbrush;
- disposable razors and shaving foam;
- sanitary napkins;
- washing powder and vero;
- toilet paper and wet wipes;
- cleaning products, etc.
You can get involved by buying and sending something from the list according to your means.
When the required number is collected, the team visits the centers and donates the items to the children personally. Follow the mission on the association’s Facebook page for updates.
The campaign is long-term, and donations are made every month.

By getting involved, you will support the centres that cannot always cover the costs of the growing needs of adolescents, and on the other hand you will show the children that they can rely on external support.

Once a mission you participate in ends, you can tell us how it went in a couple of sentences ("it was great" won't do).
It's simple: after the end we send you instructions - follow them. This way you earn points and rise in rank , others get inspired and we're all happy.
