What?

The aim of the Junior Achievement Bulgaria's program for business volunteers and mentors is to attract more professionals to the class rooms and improve the education process and practices. This can be achieved by sharing the experience and knowledge from the business world and turning the theoretic knowledge into practical application. In the past years more than 130 000 business volunteers have visited class rooms in Europe and became mentors in educational campaigns, have consulted future entrepreneurs or have become judges in different competitions.

In 2012 a study was made regarding the changes in the Bulgarian educational system and the consequences following them. The result was a very low quality of the education. To improve the condition of the educational system, the Department of the education, youth and science approved new policies and introduced new, more practical and business-oriented teaching techniques. Junior Achievement's mission is to develop and integrate business education programs for young people.

The Junior Achievement volunteers introduce economy, business and professional-oriented programs to young people in schools and more than 12 universities in the country. Most volunteers work in class rooms of public and private schools, but some of them prefer to consult in non-formal atmosphere.

The visits of the volunteers will be arranged according to their time schedule and preferences.

Equipment needed?

Most schools have multimedia equipment which will be on volunteers disposition. If there is a special need for particular equipment, Junior Achievement can assist you.
